13 Colonies

Founded because Massachusetts was

too big, so they had to create a

new colony.

 

 

Economy:

      People who lived along the

   coast relied on fishing, 

   whaling, and shipbuilding.

   Whale oil was a very valuable

   resource. Farming was not very

   reliable because there wasn't

   very good farming soil, but some crops that could be

   planted include pumpkin, beans, rye, and corn.

Trade/Exports:

   Timber, livestock, fish, ships, rum, and fur

Geography:

   Plateaus, a low coast, and hills. There are mountains

   with an abundance of trees. There are aslo rivers and

   very poor soil.

Major Industries:

   Agriculture- fishing and livestock

   Manufacturing- textiles and shipbuilding

Climate:

   Short and mild temperature summers led to cold and

   long winters. Less disease in this colony.

New Hampshire is a great place because of the freedom of religion . it is great for farmers because of the abundance of plants and the good soil and has shipbuilding.It is a great place to start a civilization.
