John Smith to find gold and riches.

The gentlemenin the colony spent

their timelooking for gold instead

of food for everyone.

Economy:

   Concentrated on agriculture like vegetables,

   grains, fruits, livestock, cotton, and tobacco.

Trade/Exports:

   Traded crops for items like shoes, lace,

   thread, dishes, and farming tools.

   Tobacco, cotton, corn, rice, indigo, furs,and

   lumber.

Geography:

   Valleys, mountains, and coastal plains.

Major Industries:

   Plantation Agriculture- tobacco, corn, and

   wheat.

Climate:

   Warm weather made growing crops very easy.

Celebrity/Important Residents:

   Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Sam

   Houston, and James Madison.

 

Virginia the people made a lot of profit because of their tobacco and because of the abundance of plants they had they never fell short in food supply and because it was so big a lot of people moved to Virginia.
